Building Climate Change Resilience at Forum

The UANL hosts the Regional Forum on Adaptation to Climate Change, which aims to bring together the opinions of experts in the field alongside the opinions of communities affected by global warming.

In 30 years, nearly three million people in Mexico will be forced to move or migrate for climatic reasons, while today, the country has more than 370 municipalities in extreme drought.

In view of this scenario, Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon joined the Regional Forum on Adaptation for Climate Change that will be held on October 17 and 18 at the UANL University Library “Raul Rangel Frias”.

This forum seeks to combine the knowledge of experts in the field with the experiences of local people regarding climate impact. What we need to start building, which is the meaning of this forum, is how we can begin to develop this concept we call resilience to climate change with the people”.
