Agenzia ICE awards UANL students

The projects of eight students of the UANL School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering were awarded by the ITA-ICE Agency thanks to their proposals in the area of technological innovation.

Eight students from Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (UANL) stood out at the Italian Technology Awards, winning first place in the categories of packaging, ceramics, plastics, and foundry.

For this reason, the students from the UANL School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (FIME) attended from January 16th to 20th to the city of Milan, where they received their award, in addition to participating in a series of activities, after being selected as the most complete research work of the 2022/2023 edition.

The prize has been presented since 2008 by the Government of Italy through the Italian Trade Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. This year, UANL demonstrated the quality of its teaching by winning the majority of the prizes awarded by the ITA-ICE to the most outstanding dissertations in technological innovation by American students.

“They make a worldwide industrial and technological forecast to know the countries that are excelling in these areas. They ask these countries through their embassies to invite the most prepared universities so that the students who present the best-qualified thesis obtain first place. The assessments are carried out by academics and industrialists from both countries, Italy and the participating country”.
