Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon is pleased to invite you to the Cultural Program of the UANL 2024 Visual Arts Contest. This contest encompasses Painting, Drawing, Photography, and three-dimensional formats.

Guidelines

Eligibility:
Participation is open to regular students from high schools and faculties of UANL.
Each participant may submit a maximum of two works per author, in the same or different categories. Works must be submitted in person.

Submission Requirements:
All works must be original, unpublished, and never exhibited before. Only works created between 2021 and 2024 will be accepted. Works entered in similar contests will not be considered. Additionally, works created by artificial intelligence, 3D scans, reproduced, or downloaded from the Internet will be disqualified.

Evaluation:
The jury will assess the following criteria: originality, content, composition, framing, technical solution, finish, and presentation. Selected works meeting these requirements will be included in the exhibition.
A panel of specialists will then choose the winning works in each category from the selected exhibition participants.

Submission Deadline
Entries will be accepted from the date of this Call for Entries until May 31, 2024, at 15:00 hours.

Awards

Jury and Prizes:

The jury, composed of distinguished specialists, will make final decisions. Prizes will be awarded to the top three entries in each category:
1st place: $6,000.00 MXN
2nd place: $4,000.00 MXN
3rd place: $3,000.00 MXN

Award Distribution:
Winning students must possess a national bank account in their name, as the prize money will be deposited only upon meeting this requirement.

Ownership and Return:
Winning works will become part of UANL’s heritage. All other selected works will be returned to the participants and must be collected from the offices of the Dirección de Desarrollo Cultural before October 18, 2024 (the organization will not be responsible after this date).
