Center for Asian Studies (CEA)

Objective

To serve as the cornerstone of the University’s outreach to Asia. This objective is outlined in the initial General Regulation of International Relations of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, marking the first instance of providing clear institutional guidelines for the essential steps for various departments and academic units of UANL to establish, reinforce, and monitor their connections with universities and both public and private institutions in the Asian region.

  • Online and in-person courses on Asian culture and economy.
  • Translation services for Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.
  • Multilingual web development.
  • Interpreters proficient in Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and English for events and conferences.
  • Courses in the Korean language.
  • Business missions.
  • Company training sessions.
  • Business consulting provided through our Shanghai offices.
  • Cultural festivals.
  • Establishing links and agreements between universities and corporations. International semester courses (sponsored by the Korea Foundation).
  • Annual academic and cultural trips to Korea.

Industrial services

  • Support and coordination of agendas to strategically generate successful opportunities in Asia.
  • In-company services.
  • Liaison with consulates in Asia.
  • Export advisory services.
  • Establishment of a CEA office in the People’s Republic of China.
