UANL to discuss trends and experiences on autism

Experts from Spain, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Canada, and Mexico discussed the conditions of people with autism spectrum disorders at the "9th Symposium: Experiences and Trends for Inclusion at UANL".

Issues such as violence, employability, and the teaching-learning process experienced by people with autism spectrum disorders are some topics addressed at the 9th Symposium: Experiences and Trends on Inclusion at UANL.

This academic and scientific event, which took place on November 8 and 9 via the Microsoft Teams platform, brought together specialists from Spain, Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, Canada, and Mexico to discuss lectures and held workshops on this condition of life.

The 9th Symposium: Experiences and Trends on Inclusion at UANL did also reflect a scientific approach to women living in this condition and human rights as well as their relevance in the promotion, dissemination, and respect for this community.

“Through this symposium, we intend, on the one hand, to provide contributions to public and social policies on this issue with the great support of all the specialists’ participation and, on the other hand, to generate knowledge and transmit experiences to all participants, along with academic and scientific support to young people with this condition of life who are currently struggling and achieving the dream of an education,” said the university official.
