UANL School of Chemical Sciences, a Blood Program Leader

About 100 students joined the annual blood donation campaign that takes place at the UANL School of Chemical Sciences and this time was part of the celebrations for the 89th anniversary of this prestigious UANL School

As part of World Pharmacists’ Day, which is commemorated every year on September 25, around 90 students from Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon attended the UANL School of Chemical Sciences (FCQ by its Spanish acronym) to donate blood.

“The aim is to raise awareness among Chemical Pharmaceutical Biologist of the importance of blood donation since they will be working for the health sector and should know the whole process, requirements, and analysis involved in blood donation,” explained the coordinator of the FCQ’s Blood Donation Campaign, Julio Adrian Martinez Melendez.

According to the UANL School of Chemical Sciences, two campaigns of this type are carried out every year almost at the end of the semester, however, since this academic program of Chemical Pharmaceutical Biologist and this school celebrated 89 years of life, they decided to add this altruistic act to the celebration of the institution.
