Fostering UANL’s international visibility in Germany

In 2022, Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (UANL) aims to strengthen academic, scientific, and cultural cooperation agreements with Germany, in line with the internationalization strategy of the university.

UANL President Santos Guzmán López and the Mexican Ambassador to Germany, Francisco Quiroga Fernández, stated these words during a meeting that took place at the Office of the President.

Mexico is key to German Industrial Conversion

Quiroga Fernandez noted that Mexico is key for Germany in the process of converting its industrial plant. He added that Mexico connects to the most important markets such as North America, Latin America, and some Asian markets.

Quiroga Fernandez, who is a graduate of our university’s School of Economics, added that the country has a young, trained, and educated workforce, graduating more young engineers each year than in Europe.

He added that in order to meet these challenges worldwide, it is necessary to coordinate efforts and involve governments, companies, universities, and civil society from all sectors.

Considering this, the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon is called to assume a leading role in the coming years, said Quiroga Fernandez.
