Exploring UANL’s Artistic Essence through a new book

The book titled "Carácter: Patrimonio artístico de la UANL" compiles the works of 48 creators who have immortalized their art in the iconic spaces of the Maximum Academic Institution in the State.

“Carácter: Patrimonio Artístico UANL” serves as a testament to the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León’s vast cultural wealth. Its unveiling took place on March 20th at the Patio Sur del Colegio Civil Centro Cultural Universitario.

 

UANL President Santos Guzmán López led the presentation ceremony, joined by José Javier Villarreal, Secretary of Extension and Culture of the University, curator Sara López, photographer Roberto Ortiz, and editorial designer Futuro Moncada.

“Carácter: Patrimonio Artístico de la UANL” showcases the contributions of 48 creators through stained glass windows, monuments, sculptures, and paintings integral to the University’s historical heritage.

Santos Guzmán López emphasized in his message that education and culture serve as vital instruments for societal transformation, and stressed the importance of the artistic works featured in the book being appreciated and enjoyed by the entire university community.

  

Sharing the cultural legacy of the University

José Javier Villarreal, Secretary of Extension and Culture at UANL, emphasized that the publication of “Carácter: Patrimonio Artístico de la UANL” coincides with the University’s 90th anniversary celebrations.

He took the opportunity to laud the team behind this project for their dedication to promoting the cultural richness of the institution beyond the confines of its classrooms.
