UANL 2024 Short Film Contest
The Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, in collaboration with the Secretaría de Extensión y Cultura and its Dirección de Desarrollo Cultural (Cultural Development Office), cordially invites you to participate in the UANL 2024 Short Film Competition.
1. All regular students of UANL, including graduate students, are eligible to participate. Each team may consist of a director, producer, screenwriter, cameraman, and technicians.
Special Category: Participation from the faculties of Performing Arts and Visual Arts.
General Category: Participation from other faculties, technical schools, and high schools.
2. Submission Requirements:
Each participating team must submit an unpublished short film with a theme of their choice, whether fiction, animation, or documentary.
The short film must have a minimum duration of 7 minutes and a maximum of 12 minutes, including credits. Additionally, please include 10 seconds of black screen at the beginning and end, without tone.
For Receipt of Papers
Fill out the Registration Form available at www.cultura.uanl.mx with the following information: title of the work, full name (team leader), address, telephone number, high school or college where they are studying, copy of their student ID or UANL payment slip, and a letter stating that the work submitted is their own and that they have not assigned or promised their rights in any way to third parties.
4.- The deadline for the reception of entries is May 31 at 3:00 pm.
5.- The selection committee and the jury may disqualify any work that does not comply with any of the requirements of this call for entries, and may declare the prize void if it deems it convenient.
6.- The prizes will be:
1st Place $25,000.00
2nd. Place $ 15,000.00
3rd. Place $ 10,000.00
7.- The decision and awarding of the contest will take place during the month of August at the Colegio Civil Centro Cultural Universitario.
