Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon once again solidified its position as a sustainability leader<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For the seventh consecutive year, it claimed the top spot in Mexico and ranked 16th globally in the 2023 GreenMetric assessment.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The University of Indonesia, the institution overseeing this ranking, made the announcement. The ranking, initiated in 2010, aims to assess global universities’ efforts in promoting sustainability on their campuses.<\/p>\n

Since 2012, UANL has been actively participating in GreenMetric. In 2017, it achieved the top position in the national ranking for the first time. In 2023, despite a doubling in the number of Mexican institutions participating, the University continues to maintain its leadership.<\/p>\n

In 2017, the Maximum Academic Institution competed against 13 universities in the country, whereas in 2023, the number increased to 27. On a global scale, the participating institutions grew from 619 in 2017 to 1,183 in 2023.<\/p>\n

In the top 20 of the GreenMetric world ranking, UANL is joined by esteemed institutions like the University of California, the University of Nottingham, the University of Bologna, and the University of S\u00e3o Paulo. Representing a diverse array of countries including Germany, Brazil, Denmark, the United States, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Mexico, this select group showcases global participation.<\/p>\n
