{"id":96795,"date":"2023-11-02T06:58:15","date_gmt":"2023-11-02T12:58:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uanl.mx\/?post_type=noticias&#038;p=96795"},"modified":"2023-11-02T06:58:15","modified_gmt":"2023-11-02T12:58:15","slug":"silver-award-for-rainwater-recovery-prototype","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/www.uanl.mx\/en\/noticias\/silver-award-for-rainwater-recovery-prototype\/","title":{"rendered":"Silver award for Rainwater Recovery Prototype"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rossi V\u00e1zquez, David Orlando Castillo Mart\u00ednez, and Brandon Barrientos Garza from the <a href=\"http:\/\/uanl.mx\">Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon<\/a> won the silver medal in the 32nd Concurso Nacional de Aparatos y Experimentos de F\u00edsica (National Physics Apparatus and Experiments Contest) with their PRO-HOME project.<\/p>\n<p>This academic and scientific work aimed to enhance and apply existing technologies in renewable energy-related areas.<\/p>\n<p>The developed prototype is a rainwater recovery system for home use, impacting essential areas like showers, toilets, and sinks.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-96800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uanl.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Water3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe project received a silver medal in the technological device category and addressed the national competition&#8217;s required modules, including water purification, algae energy generation, and wind turbine integration, all aligned with the United Nations Organization&#8217;s Sustainable Development Goals for 2030.\u201d<br \/>\n<strong>Jos\u00e9 Heriberto V\u00e9lez Garza<br \/>\n<\/strong>Professor at UANL Highschool 3<\/p>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-96798\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uanl.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/Water4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" \/><\/h2>\n<h2>Meritorious mention<\/h2>\n<p>UANL High School 3 is participating in the National Physics Apparatus and Experiments Contest for the second time.<\/p>\n<p>Joining the trip for this edition were recent graduates Arturo Escalera Elizondo and Johana Ur\u00edzar Garc\u00eda, along with current student Jared Alejandro Fuentes Morales, who received an honorable mention in the experiment category.<\/p>\n<p>The project emerged in response to Nuevo Le\u00f3n&#8217;s recent drought problem.
