For a decade, a dedicated student of the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon has immersed himself in the world of aquatics, driven by his passion for a sport that has catapulted him to the podium in three consecutive international competitions.<\/p>\n

Emilio Trevi\u00f1o Laureano<\/strong>, a first-semester student at High School 16, is an accomplished swimmer who has recently secured the gold medal at the Junior Pan American Swimming Championships, an event that encompasses diving and water polo. This remarkable achievement took place in Lima, Peru.<\/p>\n

“I competed in the Juvenile B category, which spans from 16 to 18 years old. A month prior to the selection process that determined Mexico’s representatives, I was filled with joy upon learning that I would be heading to my third Pan American Games. The competition featured numerous countries, including powerhouses like Canada and the United States, making it even more thrilling when I clinched the gold”.<\/p>\n

Mental and physical readiness<\/h2>\n

He spends almost five hours a day training to enhance both his physical and psychological abilities.<\/p>\n

“My next competition is this December, a qualifier for the world championship. Hopefully, I’ll achieve my goal of reaching my first senior world championship. I train in the morning, with a focus on technical aspects, and in the afternoon, I concentrate on physical conditioning in the gym. I’m determined not to neglect my studies, and my desire is to excel in both academics and sports.”<\/p>\n

For the student at the Maximum House of Studies in the State, aiming for the Olympic Games is among his most significant aspirations.<\/p>\n

He emphasized his strong desire to achieve this goal and offered a piece of advice to fellow teenagers: to relentlessly pursue their dreams.<\/p>\n
