Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon<\/a> has the best tool for researchers in the social sciences and humanities in the northeast of the country at its Center for Humanistic Studies (CEH).<\/p>\n

Established on May 16, 1958, under the request of UANL President Joaqu\u00edn A. Mora, this is the oldest of the UANL research centers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe creation of the center aimed to place Monterrey at the center of humanities studies. Joaquin A. Mora, the former University President, commissioned Agustin Basave Fernandez, who at that time was the only person who could be called a philosopher in Nuevo Leon, to create the center,\u201d said Cesar Morado Macias, head of the CEH UANL.<\/p>\n

UANL Center for Humanistic Studies developed the Humanitas yearbook intending to share its research findings. This was the first publication of its kind in the Northeast and was edited from 1960 to 2020.<\/p>\n

For this and other reasons, the center was a pioneer in areas of social science research, and during its 65th anniversary, a commemorative book with its memoirs will be published.<\/p>\n

Research for everyone
\n<\/strong>UANL Center for Humanistic Studies (CEH UANL) announces an open call for university scholarship recipients to begin their research and dissemination activities.<\/p>\n

Throughout its history, the center has supported 16 generations of students from the School of Philosophy and Literature with training courses, workshops, and other academic activities, besides offering monthly financial support.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To meet the new challenges of communication and dissemination of their work, the center is implementing innovative tools to reach a wider audience.<\/p>\n
