Knowledge creation is also important for teaching since students are in contact with it and they see that there is a new path. In other words, there is a universe within education called science, to which they can easily have access\u201d, says the scientist who has also been a visiting researcher at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.utexas.edu\/\">University of Texas<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsph.harvard.edu\/\">Harvard School of Public Health<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Graduated from Instituto Polit\u00e9cnico Nacional with Master\u2019s and Doctorate degrees, Rodr\u00edguez Padilla comments that scientific findings become relevant when they have an impact on society. As a clear example of this, she mentioned that soon after the Covid-19 outbreak, preventive health measures were taken and awareness was raised to be prepared for future pandemics.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Women in Science<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-81195\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uanl.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/entrevista-dra-cristina-rodriguez-padilla-fcb-uanl-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cristina Rodr\u00edguez also comments that the role of women in science has been crucial since they have ventured into areas in which they have not only made successful debuts in recent years but have also made significant contributions in many fields of knowledge.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Teaching and Science are two of her great passions to which she has devoted time for more than forty years.
