When she was 11 years old, she used to watch Dr. Julieta Fierro, a Mexican physicist, astronomer, and science communicator, performing experiments to explain the principles of astronomy for fun.<\/p>\n

Today, almost 30 years later, Romero is a professional solar researcher and develops new lines of research aimed at understanding solar conditions and their effect on Earth.<\/p>\n

As part of International Women’s Day, the astrophysicist shares her story as a scientific researcher at the National Space Weather Laboratory, located in the UANL School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.<\/a><\/p>\n

The scientific lines of research developed by Dr. Esmeralda Romero are mainly focused on solar conditions, the interplanetary environment, and the terrestrial environment.
