The main agenda of the event will be the new studies on the war between Mexico and the United States.<\/h2>\n

175 years ago, the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo<\/strong> was signed and in order to commemorate this event, besides presenting updates on the latest research on the war between Mexico and the United States, the Virtual Colloquium “Reflexiones Historiogr\u00e1ficas 175 a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s” will be celebrated from February 1 to 4, 2022.<\/p>\n

Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de M\u00e9xico<\/a> and Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Baja California<\/a> are hosting the virtual event. UANL Center for Documentation and Historical Archive will be represented by researchers C\u00e9sar Morado, Coordinator of the Center for Humanistic Studies, Luis Enrique P\u00e9rez Castro and Jos\u00e9 Eugenio Lazo Freymann, coordinator of the journal Sillares, among others.<\/p>\n

Claudia Roxana Dom\u00ednguez Garc\u00eda head of the UANL Center for Documentation and Historical Archive noted that the colloquium will provide an update on the data and positions that are known about this transcendental event for Mexico, especially for Nuevo Le\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

“In Monterrey we have emblematic sites. Remains of these battles have been found around Paseo Santa Lucia and the Cl\u00ednica de Ginecolog\u00eda, that’s why this subject is of interest since these events are part of our history,” added Dom\u00ednguez Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Dom\u00ednguez noted that institutional collaboration has been fostered through this kind of academic activity. \u201cReflexiones historiogr\u00e1ficas 175 a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s<\/strong>\u201d is just the beginning of academic research activities of the UANL Center for Documentation and Historical Archive<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
