{"id":113780,"date":"2025-11-24T13:00:40","date_gmt":"2025-11-24T19:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uanl.mx\/?post_type=noticias&#038;p=113780"},"modified":"2025-11-24T13:00:40","modified_gmt":"2025-11-24T19:00:40","slug":"uanl-deepens-international-connections","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/www.uanl.mx\/en\/noticias\/uanl-deepens-international-connections\/","title":{"rendered":"UANL deepens international connections"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>UANL maintains 258 academic, scientific, and cultural cooperation agreements with educational institutions and international organizations around the world.<\/p>\n<p>Santos Guzm\u00e1n L\u00f3pez, President of UANL, noted that in 2025 the University formalized 24 agreements with institutions in 15 countries such as Brazil, Ecuador, Spain, the United States, France, Italy, Peru, and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-113785\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uanl.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Inter3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe aim to reinforce the relationships and cooperation that the University of Nuevo Le\u00f3n maintains with the world\u2019s leading nations, ensuring that our students continue to receive a comprehensive and excellent education,\u201d he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Guzman Lopez detailed the University\u2019s 258 current partnerships: 144 general agreements, 41 specific agreements, 38 academic mobility agreements, 13 letters of intent, 13 thesis co-supervisions, and nine double-degree programs, along with strategic collaboration with 49 international organizations.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of these agreements, 572 undergraduate and 185 graduate UANL students studied abroad, and UANL received 206 international students, including 185 undergraduates and 21 graduate students.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the University of Nuevo Le\u00f3n welcomed 90 visiting academics from abroad, and 83 of its faculty members undertook academic stays outside Mexico.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-113783\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uanl.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Inter4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Santos Guzman noted that, overall, UANL\u2019s international mobility program involves universities in 35 countries on four continents\u201415 in Europe, 10 in the Americas, eight in Asia, and two in Africa.<\/p>\n<p>These indicators were presented at the forty-second meeting of the International Advisory Council (IAC), which convened central administration officials along with school and high-school directors.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Growth in Dual-degree options<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The University is also working to obtain international accreditation for its 403 academic programs. As of November 2025, it has achieved accreditation for 83 programs: 16 bachelor\u2019s degrees, 45 master\u2019s programs, 16 doctoral programs, and one specialty.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the nine dual-degree agreements, 46 academic programs benefited, including 33 undergraduate and 13 graduate programs, with more than 200 students taking part.<\/p>\n<p>In the meeting with the International Advisory Board, UANL President proposed expanding collaboration to other academic areas, such as dual programs that blend classroom study with professional practice in a company.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-113787\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uanl.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Inter2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>UANL maintains 258 academic, scientific, and cultural cooperation agreements with educational institutions and international organizations around the world.
