With the participation of <\/span>a<\/span>cademic institutions from Chile, Costa Rica, United States, France, Mexico and Peru, the Universidad <\/span>Aut\u00f3noma<\/span> de Nuevo Le\u00f3n hosted the <\/span>International <\/span>University Performing Arts Festival<\/span>\u2019<\/span> eighth edition<\/span> FAE-UANL 2024.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

UANL <\/span>School of Performing Arts<\/span>\u2019<\/span> Principal Deyanira Triana <\/span>Ver\u00e1stegui<\/span> opened this <\/span>cultural <\/span>event <\/span>scheduled for October 7<\/span><\/span>th<\/span><\/span> to 12<\/span><\/span>th<\/span> <\/span>at the <\/span>\u2018<\/span>Rogelio Villarreal Elizondo<\/span>\u2019<\/span> Space Theater.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

During her speech, Triana <\/span>V<\/span>er\u00e1stegui<\/span> welcomed the participants and remarked <\/span>the event as one of the most <\/span>relevant in the country due to <\/span>the quality and quantity of its guests, <\/span>solidifying each <\/span>edition <\/span>over the years.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, <\/span>she <\/span>stated<\/span> t<\/span>he festival\u2019s <\/span>objective<\/span> as the development<\/span> of activities able to connect <\/span>Mexican <\/span>educational <\/span>institutions of <\/span>performing arts <\/span>upper studies <\/span>with Latin American countries, as well as <\/span>enhance <\/span>students\u2019<\/span> professional <\/span>education and <\/span>update <\/span>professors with<\/span> new<\/span> strategies o<\/span>n<\/span> theater and dance education.<\/span><\/p>\n

There will be <\/span>22 disciplinary w<\/span>ork<\/span>shops as part of the program, as well as a keynote <\/span>lecture and two <\/span>roundtable <\/span>discussions<\/span> presented by national and international <\/span>parties<\/span> with performing arts knowledge, <\/span>together with <\/span>nine stagings with their respective dismantling tables.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2018\u2018<\/span>We added <\/span>two cultural animations i<\/span>n this edition<\/span> with the <\/span>objective<\/span> of<\/span> bring<\/span>ing <\/span>universities<\/span> together<\/span>, <\/span>as well as <\/span>a<\/span> plastic arts\u2019 <\/span>exhibition<\/span>, and <\/span>an interuniversity project <\/span>headed by the<\/span> Chilean National Theater<\/span>\u2019 Principal<\/span>, Cristian Kiem. In this project, a student from each delegation will <\/span>participate<\/span> in a <\/span>staging<\/span> which<\/span> will be worked on during the week and<\/span> presented on the last day of the <\/span>festival,<\/span>\u2019<\/span>\u2019<\/span> the principal commented<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A Space to Reflect\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

The main theme of the University Performing Arts Festival is \u2018\u2018The Contemporary Scene: Narratives and Territories\u2019\u2019, which will be addressed by renowned artists from Mexico, France, Chile, Costa Rica and Peru, as well as disciplinary workshops, conferences, and roundtable discussions conducted by them, aiming to promote a space to reflect about theater and dance in the student community.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition<\/span>, <\/span>a <\/span>roundtable discussion<\/span> denominated \u2018\u2018<\/span>An approach to contemporary scenic creation<\/span>\u2019\u2019<\/span> between Carlos Salazar-Zeled\u00f3n, Eduardo Guardado and Laurent Berger, representative of the Paul Val\u00e9ry University of Montpellier, France.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
