{"id":105368,"date":"2024-10-28T13:38:30","date_gmt":"2024-10-28T19:38:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.uanl.mx\/?post_type=noticias&#038;p=105368"},"modified":"2024-10-28T13:38:30","modified_gmt":"2024-10-28T19:38:30","slug":"uanl-researcher-honored-with-women-in-science-award","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/www.uanl.mx\/en\/noticias\/uanl-researcher-honored-with-women-in-science-award\/","title":{"rendered":"UANL Researcher Honored with Women in Science Award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Due to the significance of her research on the relationship between the immune system, cancer, and viruses, Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Nuevo Le\u00f3n (UANL) professor Mar\u00eda Cristina Rodr\u00edguez Padilla was awarded the L&#8217;Or\u00e9al-UNESCO-AMC Award for Women in Science for its 2024 edition.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout her career of over 40 years in teaching and research, the academic has published numerous high-impact scientific articles, earning her the award organized by the Mexican Academy of Sciences (AMC), with support from UNESCO and sponsorship from the L&#8217;Or\u00e9al Mexico Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The award ceremony was held at the Centro Cultural Hel\u00e9nico in Mexico City.
