UANL Students Explore Costa Rican Culture
High school students of Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon carried out academic stays in Costa Rica. They visited different Costa Rican institutions and entered the culture of the Central American country.
Students and teachers of Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon lived an academic and cultural experience in Costa Rica.
High School No. 20 was the UANL academic entity that participated in the exchange with the Costa Rican institutions, such as the National University of Costa Rica (UNA) and the Ministry of Culture and Youth, among others.
During 14 days, around 30 students and 4 teachers of the upper intermediate level had academic meetings and discussions, besides learning about and sharing gastronomy, linguistics, culture, and others activities.
They had the opportunity to live with Costa Rican families since they stayed at their host houses, under the supervision of the administrators and teachers in charge of the project.
The students also visited the Costa Rican Humanistic College and the UNA Center for General Studies, the Embassy of Mexico in Costa Rica, the University for Peace, the University of Costa Rica, and different theme parks.
Other UANL entities that joined the expedition were High Schools No. 5, 6, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 22, and 23. The international experience took place from April 26 to May 9.
