What is Internship?

It is the training activity that a student from the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon does at or out of the academic institution in order to develop, improve and strengthen the competences he/she acquired in the classroom.

What is the Purpose of Internships?

Once the student does his/her internships, he/she will have the opportunity of experiencing what he/she learned in the classroom and this will give him/her job opportunities.

Where can students do Internships?

In companies; it means in the Private Sector, in Governmental Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations or Non-profit Organizations, in Health Sector, University Sector and other legally established institutions

How can students start?

On this site, the student will find the necessary to start this activity, which is very important forhis/her professional life.

Student must know that www.unibolsa.uanl.mx is the UANL official site where vacancies for Internships can be found and that, after graduating, he/she could look for a job on there.

 

On this site the student will find more than 20,000 companies waiting for him/her

Student has to be registered as an applicant so he/she can get his/her username and password.

Student could start by entering the information that will be on his/her curriculum vitae. 

Students can enjoy the benefits of updating it each semester

Do not lost more time! 

To start his/her Internships, the student must do the following procedures within five working days.

Go to the person in charge of Internships of his/her High School or Undergraduate School and bring the following documents:
• Transcript (copy). It could be printed from SIASE 

Agreement format (original and three copies). This document is a format that can be found in the related documents section of this site. It must be filled out by the student and signed by the company, the student and his/her college or school. Both the company and the school must seal the agreement.

 Accident insurance format (original and three copies). This document proves that the student is insured against accidents (No IMSS), and it must be sealed by both the Institution that receives it and the college or school. There are some insurance options in the related documents section.

Paying the Accident Insurance

Step1: To fill out the application according to the insurance company of the student’s choice or the one selected by the Company. The student together with the company will take the best option according to the work he/she will be doing.

Step 2: To pay in the bank. This payment must be done by the Institution or Company where the student will do internships. A receipt will be given to the student, and he/she must deliver it (or a copy of it) to the indicated window. 

• Start letter issued by the company: The writing of this letter is free; however, the following recommendations should be met: It must be printed on headed notepaper and sealed by the company, and it will be addressed to Maria Zoraida Jimenez Aguilar, Director of the UANL Department of Social Service and Internships; it must include the student’s information: name, student number, semester, bachelor degree, school and internships period (start and end date), as well as the schedule he/she will follow during internships. 

Note: In case the company does not have a seal, it must write down a letter explaining this.

The person in charge of Internships of the student’s school will give him/her the

 Start letter issued by the school: It must be printed on headed notepaper and sealed by the school, and it will be addressed to Francisco Jesus Barrera Cortinas, Director of the UANL Department of Social Service and Internships; it must include the student’s information: name, student number, semester, bachelor degree, and internships period (start and end date), as well as the schedule he/she will follow during internships.

 The student –taking the mentioned documents– will go to the UANL Department of Social Service and Internships, window no. 3, so he/she can obtain the original and three copies of the Designation of Internships RC-07-053. He/she must take the designation to the company where he/she will do internships to get the designation signed and sealed by the person in charge of Human Resources, besides getting his/her schedule.

After meeting the foregoing, students should deliver each copy. At the bottom of the designation he 
will find:
Interested: This copy should be kept for any subsequent procedure.
School: This copy should be delivered to the College or School.
Record: This copy should be delivered to window no. 3 of Internships, at the Office of the President,
and the
Addressee: This copy is for the company.

Note: Remember there are only five working days to deliver the documents.

After finishing internships, the student must process the Certification of Internships. RC-07-054

Certification is the final stage, it means when you conclude your period and obtain the Official Certification of Internships.

These are the steps for the issue of such Certificate.

The student must go to the person in charge of Internships of his/her College or School with the following documents:

• End letter issued by the company: The writing of this letter is free but it must specify that the student met in due form and time the internships and it must be addressed to Maria Zoraida Jimenez Aguilar, Director of the Department of Social Service and Internships. It must contain the student’s following information: name, student number, bachelor degree, school, semester, start date, end date, and hours spent during Internships.     

• Final report: This report must be written by the student since it is about making a description of the activities developed during Internships. It must be addressed to María Zoraida Jimenez Aguilar, Director of the Department of Social Service and Internships, and it will be signed by the student –as the author– and his/her immediate boss; besides that, it must be sealed by the company or printed on headed notepaper.

All these documents must have the seal of the Institution or Company that receives the student. An example of these documents is available in the related documents section of this site

The person in charge of Internships of the student’s school will give him/her the:

Take the mentioned documents to window no. 3 of the UANL Department of Social Service and Internships, located at the Office of the President.
It is important to remember that there is a maximum of three months after the end date of your Internships to start the Certification procedure.

Requisitos

REQUIREMENTS:

To ask for assistants, the institutions must meet the following requirements:

Students

They must:
Be -at least- in the fifth semester or the equivalent in credits (51%)

Have an advisory professor for any future doubt related to internships.

Have at least 4 hours per day to do internships.

Students entering a company must be subject to its internal regulations.
 

Companies

 
They must:
Have the registered name of Public Limited Company or Limited Liability Company. In case of beinga brand new company, it must include a copy of documents with regard to its registration in the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit.
Have perfectly defined projects and include a schedule of activities that will be done during internships. 

Designate a coordinator or person in charge of the control of students in this program and to control their activities.
