Test for Undergraduate Admission

Test for Higher Education Admission-Undergraduate
The University Senate Academic Committee, in accordance with the General Regulations on students admission and permanence procedures, and those established by the University Senate.
anyone interested in undertaking Higher Education Studies in any of UANL undergraduate schools to participate in the ADMISSION TEST, which shall be celebrated on June 15, 2013 (August-December semester), and be subject to the following



1st. Materials For Registration

A) Applicants can find information on UANL's official website regarding the Undergraduate Student Admission Test, the test guide, the participating schools directory as well as the specialties offered. 

B) If more information is needed, it must be requested at the participating school that the applicant selected.


2nd. Registration

A) The official registration period begins on April 13 at 13:00 hours and ends on May 31, 2013.

B) Applicants must be registered duringthe final semester of upper intermediate educationor otherwise issue a certificate of completion of studies.

C) Select from the participating schools directory the undergraduate program he/she wants to attend to.

D) Meet the following requirements:

a) National students must have their Personal Number (CURP); and international students must have their passport number.

b) Pay $ 765.00 (Seven hundred sixty five pesos, Mexican pesos) for the test.

c) Have a current official ID.

d) Provide all required information.

e) Follow each of the steps outlined in the registration procedure sectionbelow during the official registration period.


3rd. Registration Procedure

During the official period for registration:

A) The applicant will access the UANL website, go to applicants section and select Undergraduate Student Admission Test.  In the access links section enter the test registration link.

B) Provide the basic information requested in order to generate and print the pre-registration form.

C) Make the corresponding test payment at the bank specified on his/her pre-registration form, this will entitle him/her to take the Undergraduate Student Admission Test.

D) Once payment has been made the applicant will receive —at the registered school— the Test Guide, which contains the topics that will be included in the exam. The Test Guide can be downloaded from Internet as well.

E) Enter the survey collection link located in the website that shows the official call. Use the registration number and password indicated on the pre-registration form, and enter the information requested to complete the personal data and ceneval surveys.

F) Print the registration confirmation form from the above-mentioned site.

G) With the registration confirmation form and current official ID, the applicant will attend the specified appointment in order to have his/her photo taken and receive the test confirmation form.

H) The applicant will attend the test appointment indicated on his/her test confirmation form.


4th. The Test

A) The test will be held on June 15, 2013.

B) Taking into account the information on the test confirmation form, the applicant must be on time in the indicated classroom, at the assigned hour; he/she must bring proper pencils (number 2 or 1/2) to take the test.

C) The name of the CENEVAL test that will be administered is EXANI-II, which is a reasoning and high school basic knowledge test.

D) Under no circumstances the test will be held in a different place or at a different hour.


5th. Applicants Allocation of Spaces

A) Applicants will be assigned to the school of their choice according to the following procedure:

a) Each school will make a list of the applicants' names in descendent order according to test scoring.

b) All undergraduate school applicants will be accepted whenever the demand is lower than or equal to the school’s quota. 

c) If the demand is greater than the school's capacity students with the highest scores will be given preference.

d) If a student is accepted but decides to unregister, that place will be reassigned.

e) Not accepted applicants as well as those who don’t complete their registration within the official period will be allowed to participate in the next test announcement.


6th. Test Results

A) Results will be published at the school where the applicant took the test, on the date, place and hour that will be provided to the student the day of the exam.


7th. Admission

A) In order to be enrolled in one of the undergraduate schools participating in this event, applicants must meet following requirements: 

a) Have their Upper Intermediate Education Certificate (complete transcript) no later than August 2, 2013.

b) Obtain the minimum score requested by his/her undergraduate school.

c) Comply with the school’s requirements.

d) Meet the requirements settled by the Office of the Registrar.

B) The complete information regarding the definite registration will be provided in the offices of the school assigned to the applicant in accordance with the General Regulations on Students Admission and Permanence Procedures.


8th. Transitory

A) What is established herein is the only way to be admitted to any of UANL Undergraduate Schools in the August-December semester, 2013.

B) Applicants who participate in any illegal activity, contrary to any provision established herein, will be immediately dropped.
